Utaite Shoose First Album 'Shoose Box'

It's my first ever item that have been bought from Japan and delivered right next to my door steps (or better to say at the post office first hahaha). Because I'm a fan of Shoose (しゅーず) and my friends know that simple fact about myself, they gave me his first album as a gift for my birthday last year! So today, I'll be sharing this little haul, Shoose' First Album entitled as "Shoose Box."

After the nearest postal office within our area texted me that I have a package on their office, I immediately went there and good thing I brought some money with me because they charge me Php 100.00 to get that (customs fee they said). I was in shock after I saw the box because it's quite long (to think that it only contains a CD). So I immediately went home, opened it and found the reason why it is in a long box.

The box (unopened)

It has a B2 size poster!

The poster's image is same as the cover of the CD (to lazy to take a picture of the poster because it's quite big hahaha).

Here are some of my shots as I open the CD case:

Shoose Box contains 16 tracks (All in Japanese except one which is in English). For avid fans of Shoose, I would say that having this CD is a bonus because some of the songs here at not available on his video channels such as in YouTube and in Nico Nico Douga (a Japanese video streaming site). The songs are arranged from lively to mellow so it is relaxing to listen to.

I also got this stainless cellphone strap! The straps are actually in random per CD and luckily I got the secret one which is chibi Shoose with a red stiletto.

Who is Shoose?

The first thing that you should know first is what does Utaite means. Utaite (歌い手) is a Japanese term for people who cover previously released songs and post them on Nico Nico Douga under the utattemita category. The term "utaite" is unique to Nico Nico Douga singers, making it different from "kashu" (歌手), which means "singer" in general.

Shoose (his alias) is one of the Utaite who cover songs mostly from Vocaloid like Hatsune Miku, Gumi, Kaito, and etc. I got attracted to his voice after I heard him cover "Masked bitcH" in a quite sensual voice. Since then, I've been a follower on his Nico Nico Douga and YouTube account.

The CD cost 2,300 Yen (around Php 950.00, tax included) and the shipping fee cost 1,100 Yen (around Php 450.00). My friend told me that they bought this at CD Japan and they said that purchasing from them is easy and fast.

Time to re-listen to his songs!

Though I'm a big fan of Japanese voice actor Hirakawa Daisuke in terms of voice range, Shoose got the unique voice quality which can capture a girl's heart. So for those who loves Shoose and thinking of purchasing his CD, you should buy one!

Thanks for reading! :)

  1. oh my God, hi! My name is Ray and I'm a huge fan of Shoose. I'm also a fan from the Philippines and I've been dying to get my hands on his album. Is it alright if I ask you where you ordered it? I tried to order somewhere once, but they didn't have the poster and keychain anymore. I'm also a really big fan of Daisuke Hirakawa <3 Love your blog! :)

  2. Hi Ray! Thanks for reading my blog entry :)

My friends ordered the CD from CD Japan (cdjapan[dot]co[dot]jp) and I believe it was like around 1 week after Shoose' CD was released in Japan. Most of the time, if you buy early from these stores, they still have the item bonus (on which I am lucky enough to have one). But if these bonus are already out of stock, they will instead sell the items without the bonuses anymore.

I don't actually know any online shops that sell Shoose' cd except at Amazon and CD Japan (because Im not that familiar with other sites which can ship items internationally).

I hope I did help you with this comment hahaha >___<
(PS. There's a Philippine fanbase for our favorite voice actor! Though it was quite new, the page is active in both FB and Tumblr. You can check out "Hirakawa Daisuke Philippines" on Facebook ♡)
